Invitations
A pop up flower invitation package would be an interesting ensemble or dark pink handmade paper with pressed flowers on the front of the invitation.
Watercolour paper in a light shade of green with dark pink wording is another unusual touch. Sketches of painted herbs or flowers on the front of the invitation package would keep the garden theme going from start to finish.
Butterflies or Dragonflies in dark pink, green and white could adorn the invitations, whether a pop up, watercolour painted or stenciled is a fun touch.
Colours
White with dark pink and herbal green and other pastel shades mixed in, such as light pink, light yellow and mauve. All colours one would find in the garden.
Flowers
Hydrangea, Roses, Peonies, Lily of the Valley, Stock and variegated Euonymus and Hosta leaves and Mint.
Décor
White linen tablecloths and chair covers with tiebacks and a sprig of mint tucked into the bow. Silver flatware and simple crystal stemware would give the Garden wedding an elegant touch. Very simple crystal candleholders with dark pink or herbal green candles or single rosebud vases with flowers etched into the glass containing one perfect, deep pink rosebud.
Fine bone china teacups with candles inside and Hydrangea or Rose petals on the saucer surrounding the teacup. Or fine china teapots with white Roses and Hydrangeas and variegated Euonymus centerpieces.
Round clear glass vases with lip and dark pink Hydrangeas, light pink Roses, white Lily of the Valley and Mint with paper dragonflies or butterflies on slender sticks inserted into the centerpiece and when the breeze floats by, it will look like their wings are moving.
For a more casual look, hang butterfly or dragonfly votive candles in the branches of nearby trees or inside the marquee or awning. Colourful pastel tin watering cans with variegated Hosta leaves at the opening of the tin and dark pink Peonies, light pink or yellow roses and stock, which would give off a lovely scent. Candle stakes in dark pink or green glass inserted in the garden would be a nice way to light up the night.
Clay pots with lovely scented herbs and galvanized watering cans strategically scattered about with Hosta Leaves, Stock and Mint would give the reception a more rustic garden look.
