What is a Honeymoon Registry?

Bridal registries have really evolved over time as more and more couples are now living together before marriage and therefore accumulating many of the household items guests would typically give them as wedding gifts - linens, china, small kitchen appliances, etc.  Because of this, a new form of bridal registry has evolved - the honeymoon registry.

The honeymoon registry is very unique in that it allows couples to plan and book their dream honeymoon and, like a normal registry, guests are given a list of items that can be purchased.  The list of items encompasses all aspects of the honeymoon including airfare, nightly accommodations, meals, entertainment, spa treatments, etc.  Guests are then able to purchase specific items or make contributions towards larger ones. For example, guests can purchase one night’s accommodation or a couples' massage in private cabana on the beach.
